Pure bliss
Impromptu trip to Panama City Beach, Fl
I am a real estate photographer and sometimes I get jobs for aerial shots of vacant land. One such job took me way further than I had expected but it was a blessing in disguise.
When I planned out the day, I had only expected to drive 4 hours. Silly me made the mistake of thinking I was going In the opposite direction of what I was. I didn’t have an address only coordinates so I didn’t see a city, just a county.
So the hubby and I are traveling along and realize that this is actually taking 6 hours instead of 4 because of the time difference and all of our stops. Along the drive we saw a sign for Panama City. I had always wanted to go there. Eventually we get to the area and shoot the couple of lots needed.
By the time we finished it was so late we couldn’t drive home so we decided there was no other option but to stay. We had not planned to stay nor was prepared to do so. We drove about 30 minutes to Panama City since we were basically already there. We found a decent hotel on the beach. We quickly realized we had nothing to wear to sleep in or for the next day. That led us to Walmart at 10 o’clock at night. It was an incredibly long day and we both just wanted to go to bed. After getting our necessities we went back to hotel and passed out.
The next morning we woke up to a beautiful white sandy beach with emerald water that we have never seen. It was incredible.
We dipped our toes in the water and walked on the beach. After we enjoyed the beach for a bit we walked across the the shops to check out what was there. There are many restaurants and bars and little shops. All of the food smelled amazing but we had already eaten breakfast so we didn’t stop in any. We did however stop in some gift shops and I picked up some Panama City Beach shirts for my daughter and I.
We did get some drone shots of the beach since we had it with us. I just wish we could’ve stayed until sunset.
After spending only a few hours, we had to leave. I can’t wait to go back!
