Should you go to Howl O Scream - SeaWorld Orlando?
I went last year and I must say it was a lot of fun. My teenager was not quite ready for Halloween Horror Nights just yet so we opted for a less intense experience. There were scare zones, haunted houses, bars, live shows and some of the attractions were open. Ice Breaker, Mako and Manta will be open this year as well.
This event happens select nights September 6-November 2. Doors open at 6:15 and the event starts at 7. This is a separate ticketed event and is not included with your park admission. Daytime park admission is not required but if you are there for the day, you will need to purchase your tickets to the event to be able to remain in the park once the event starts. Tickets are fairly cheap starting at $34.99.
No costumes are allowed and you will be asked to leave so just keep that in mind. I understand why this is not allowed but it really is a bummer. It’s basically going to to a Halloween party without a costume! If you have little ones that can’t attend this event, they do have a spooktacular event that happens during the day and kids are encouraged to wear a costume to collect candy. Face paint of any kind is not permitted though and no one over 13 can wear a costume.
No bags of any kind according to their policy this year. If you can’t carry it or put in a pocket, just leave it in your car. Although no camera bags are permitted, you can take pictures and film inside houses as long as you do no use any source of light.
Below are photos I took during the event. If you want to see videos click here.
